Scale your impact
Neon Professional Services Consultants are dedicated and experienced nonprofit professionals who are passionate about translating the work you do into practical database management techniques. We listen to your story and your needs to find ways to save you time and focus on your mission.
For many nonprofits, database management can feel frustrating and unintuitive. Neon’s Professional Services team is here to help. Our team brings their expertise in a range of software platforms — plus, their own years of nonprofit experience — to help you navigate through the implementation of your database and plan for the future growth of your organization. We thrive on solving complicated puzzles and customizing NeonCRM for every nonprofit we work with.
Why it matters
For your organization, data isn’t just data — it’s people. Your data represents your supporters, and understanding how to use it effectively will allow you to effectively engage those supporters and further your mission. We find our most successful Neon organizations take advantage of Professional Services to create roadmaps for how to use their database, provide staff training, and manage their data moving forward.
We set you up for success and help you prioritize learning different parts of NeonCRM. It is a powerful system, but we ensure you don’t feel overwhelmed by providing customized recommendations and practical solutions. This process is an opportunity to change broken or challenging parts of your day-to-day tasks. Our knowledge of the software means we know what questions to ask and how to think through any long term consequences.
You can learn the system on your own — our Support Center offers a range of comprehensive guides. But if you want to talk it through and strategize with an expert, we’re here to help!
Neon is very thorough helping you to design the system so that it suits your needs. They give you a 2 hour consultation which is valuable. The price was half of a competitors.
For new clients
Custom Import Data Consultation
If you have a large amount of data and are coming to Neon from another database (or multiple databases) we can provide an estimate to import your data for you. We’ll take a look over your data and let you know you what would be the best option for you. All data is not created equal, and not everything is self-importable.
We’ll look at your data together and discuss where the information should go and what you need to be able to do with it in the future. Our team can also merge duplicates and build relationships in the data according to rules we discuss together. We’ll provide custom recommendations and options to migrate your data in the most effective way.
We translate our conversation into rules that our developers will use to write a custom script and put the data into Neon with 2-4 weeks of our conversation. In the meantime, we’ll also help you come up with the best plan for managing your data moving forward.
Self Import Data Consultation
The self import is a great option for organizations with smaller amounts of data or basics like contact information and donations. We’ll walk you through column by column but we also point out what can be done via import and what will need to be done by hand after you import the data. It’s our personal goal to be as transparent as possible about what cannot be self imported. Please check out our reference guide here.
During or after your data import, we’ll help you create a customized implementation strategy. First, we’ll discuss your priorities in a 30-minute needs analysis session. Then, we’ll translate that into specific action items and provide you with a bulleted agenda for the next call to dive into those items and begin the configuration process. Configuration consults are both an orientation to Neon and a strategy session.
