One of the most exciting weeks of the year is almost upon us! The Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC) is being held in Austin, TX this year and it is always a great event. There will be tons of panels, workshops, presentations, and parties. Here are our top five events to attend this year:
#NTCbeer – while not an official part of the conference, this social gathering of nonprofit professionals, tech enthusiasts, and craft beer geeks is always a great way to kick off the conference while also mingling with friends new and old. We’ll be looking forward to toasting the continued success of NTEN’s conference on March 3 at Cedar Door.
Drupal and WordPress Day – this is a preconference event that will bring together web designers and nonprofit tech folks in a space to share their stories, strategies, and CSS styles. Considering that we’re big proponents of Open API ourselves, we’ll be interested to see what new ways nonprofits can leverage these CMS platforms to provide more exciting content and a deeper backend CRM experience.
Science Fair – not only is this where all the breaks and lunches are, buts also where we’ll have our booth! Stop by Booth 422 to learn about NeonCRM and how it can take your nonprofit’s constituent management to the next level. We’ll also have some fun giveaways for attendees and it’s where you can meet partners of ours like MailChimp, PayPal, and Double the Donation.
“Think Global. Drink Local” party – Austin music. Austin food. Austin beer. Join fellow NTCers on March 5 at Clive Bar on Rainey Street for live Bluegrass from Bottom Dollar String Band, local food, and a “firkin” of beer (small keg) brewed specially for NeonCRM by (512) Brewing Company. Every attendee also gets a raffle ticket for three chances to have a meaningful donation made to a charity of your choice! This party starts at 6:30pm and is being thrown by NeonCRM, but is a networking opportunity and celebration for NTC attendees… not a “firkin” sales pitch. Stop by booth #422 to get free drink tickets.
Beyond the Finish Line: Integrated Social Fundraising: Peer to peer fundraising campaigns are highly visible ways to generate much needed revenue for organizations, yet how integrated are these into your nonprofit’s mission and are they right for you? What happens to the relationships formed, the connections made, and the donor potential once the last runner crosses that finish line? Furthermore – does it have to be a 5K to be social fundraising? This session will dive into integrating unique approaches to social fundraising and the technology behind them for long term growth.
We hope to see you at the conference and please stop by Booth 422 and say hello!
